リリース予定が公式に発表されているわけでもないのに
予定遅れもクソもないだろうという疑問はあるものの
アナリスト諸氏の発売予想よりも開発が遅れているようです。

Ming-chi Kuo氏発の情報です。
Analyst Ming-chi Kuo of KGI Securities reported that some of Apple‘s next-generation devices like iPhone 5S (or what will be its official name) and iPad Mini are delayed and we will not see them on sales during the first half of 2013, although Kuo estimated, last month, that Apple is preparing a June or July release for United States and a September launch for China.
KGI SecuritiesのアナリストMing-chi Kuo氏によると、iPhone 5S（または公式の名前になる何か）やiPad miniのようなAppleの次世代機が（予定より）遅れており、彼は先月、6〜7月の米国リリース、9月の中国リリースと予想したものの、2013年の上半期には新製品の販売にはお目にかかれないようだ。
Apparently the delay is caused by the iOS 7 development, which will receive a major UI update. We can expect some upgrades for the next operating system, like an entirely new design language.
どうやらこの遅れは、大規模なユーザインタフェースの変更があるというiOS 7の開発が原因らしい。この次のオペレーティングシステムには、まったく新しく設計された言語のように機能の向上が期待できる。
Another analyst supporting a late unveil is Katy Huberty, who wrote in a note to Apple’s investors that the company is planning a special event for the Worldwide Developer Conference, where a “killer app” will be presented. She also mentioned a streaming music service and a mobile payment system. The new apps will help Apple compete with Samsung‘s SAFE enterprise and Google‘s Wallet, and these apps need a good support from iOS 7.

Now we are expecting a fingerprint scanner and NFC capability from the next-gen iPhone.

The iPhone 5S and iPad Mini delays seem for us like a “double check” plan for Apple, after the Maps app problems. Maybe the company discovered that it is wise to take some extra time and get all things right before a release.
地図アプリ問題のあとだけに、iPhone5SとiPad miniの遅れは、Appleにとっての「念のための計画」のように思える。おそらくAppleはリリース前に追加の時間をとって、すべてきちんとしたほうが賢明だと気付いたのだろう。
つまりは新機能テンコモリでインタフェースも大幅にかわるので
iOS7の開発に時間がかかってるよ、ということのようです。
遅くなるのは残念ではありますが、地図アプリの二の舞は確かに避けて欲しいです。
今年出るという噂のiPhone5Sと来年という噂のiPhone6に関する話題が
混ざっている気がするのですが、そのへんは謎です。
